Bookmarked 2024 Week 21

May 24, 2024

How has your week been? What have you been reading? I was feeling in a cozy fantasy vibe and picked up The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, Sangu Mandana. It was just what I needed … characters who I adored and who were all unique, budding friendships and relationships, and of course a heartwarming plot. Now, here’s your weekly dose of 10+ bookish links I came across recently.

one+ As I mentioned, I find myself loving cozy fantasy books like the one I mentioned above, and here are Twelve Upcoming Cozy Fantasies to Add to Your TBR.

two+ Am I the only one that thinks it would be fun to read one of these Novels set on planes, trains, and automobiles while on that actual mode of transport?!

three+ I read a lot more than in the past thanks to audiobooks and their availability from the library, so sharing 6 of the Best Free Audiobook Apps To Curl Up With. If you’re not a member of your local library, take this as your cue to go join!

four+ Which Is the Best Book Tracking App? A Comparison of 5 Book Trackers – I didn’t even know about some of these. Which do you use? I use Goodreads and StoryGraph (which I use to track my reading challenges).

five+ As a mood reader, after reading the same type of book all month long (fantasy), I’m ready to switch it up before the entering the dreaded Slump Valley.

six+ I was nodding my head yes to several of the titles on 8 of the Most Polarizing Horror Novels Ever WrittenTender is the Flesh, Agustina Bazterrica – truly an uncomfortable, unforgettable read, as is Baby Teeth, Zoje Stage!

seven+ I know I said I wouldn’t talking about summer yet, but I couldn’t resist sharing 30 Summer Books to Have on Your Radar. I’m especially looking forward to Dear Hanna, Zofe Stage – which is a follow up to Baby Teeth (mentioned above).

eight+ Recent Fave – It’s my 7th year in a job where I travel regularly for work, but my current position is like next level with it. I’ve also been using a sheet mask and these eye masks at night more as a way to pause, de-stress and relax with a side effect of supple skin. I like to experiment with which ones I’m using, and currently loving this Burt Bees Calming Sheet Mask with Rose.

nine+ Off the books – What have you watched recently? I loved Bridgerton S3 Part 1 ( Netflix). Each season (and I’ve loved them all) focuses on one member of the Bridgerton family. This season, we get to see a friends-to-lovers story, with Colin Bridgerton and his childhood friend Penelope Featherington.

ten+ In case you missed it … on the blog this week we posted 4 Favorite Books Told From Multiple Points of View.

Cheers to the weekend and week ahead!
